What’s happening this week in Telluride | June 12-18

Chris Sommers June 12, 2025

What a week! From rainbows dotting the mountainsides and elk grazing in town to the flower boxes being put out on Colorado Ave., it feels like summer is officially here. We're looking forward to exploring our amazing backyard!

All our summer recurring events are back in action this week, including the Market on the Plaza (we hope you got to check it out today!) at Heritage Plazaon Wednesdays, Sunset Concert Series on Wednesday evenings (tonight is verygently in Conference Center Plaza and next week is a special First Grass edition in Sunset Plaza), the Telluride Farmers' Market on Friday on Oak Street, and Movies Under the Stars kicks off with "The Princess and The Frog" on Saturday. Plus, don't miss Music on the Green with Jeremy Dion on Friday in Reflection Plaza!

If you'd like to jam out to some music before Bluegrass Festival takes over all of town's venues next week, head over to The Alibi for Pressing Strings on Thursday, The Dirty Turkeys on Saturday, Tanglers Bluegrass Band on Tuesday, and the Deer Creek Sharp Shooters on Wednesday. Plus, you can always catch the Telluride Gold Kings on Thursdays at the Old Sheridan Bar, or live music at the Telluride Farmers' Market on Fridays (this week is Donavan Dailey). Another notable music-adjacent event is the 2025-26 Telluride Historical Museum's Exhibit Opening Reception on Thursday, with this year's theme being "A Rare Medium, Well-Done: 50 Years of KOTO-FM”.

Food and Vine is back for its junior year this weekend, too! Be sure to check out the amazing array of classes, curated pairings from some of the best chefs, and of course, wine. Tickets are still available and can be found here

Other notable events include Mind Blown on Saturday at The Peaks Resort & Spa, Town Talks on Tuesday at the Telluride Conference Center, free wine tastings on Wednesdays at the Mountain Village Wine Merchant, and "The Zen of Flyfishing" book signing with Peter Kaminsky at Between the Covers on Thursday.
